Classic Construction Models is proud to present the newest models to join our ever-expanding collection of highly detailed die-cast reproductions, the Cat® D9L Track-Type Tractor. Originally produced in 3 configurations at 1:48 scale – with Impact Ripper, with Push Blade, and as a 631E Towed Scraper version, the D9L is now being produced in two all-new configurations. One of the new models will be available with a Straight Blade/Multi-Shank Ripper and the other with a Push Blade/Single-Shank Ripper with Push Block. Both of the new versions will be equipped with fully enclosed cabs.
Introduced in 1980 as an upgrade to the D9H, the D9L was equipped with a Cat 3412 turbocharged diesel engine producing 460 flywheel HP at 1900 RPM. This machine was also the first D9 to utilize the raised final drive sprocket, which was originally introduced on the D10, to prevent impact loading and increase the life of the power train. With a wide range of available attachments, including a variety of bulldozers and rippers to match operating conditions, the D9L is unparalleled in its versatility.
Both versions of the Cat D9L Track-Type Tractor will be packaged in a collector quality box with an individually signed and serial-numbered certificate of authenticity. The production runs will be limited for each configuration so make sure that you place your requests soon to ensure you are able to add these extraordinary models to your collection.
