Recently, the first sample model of the Cat® D5K2 LGP Track-Type Tractor from our 1:24 scale die-cast Contractor Collection Series was delivered to our warehouse, and after a trip to the photo booth we are excited to share the results with our collectors.  Upon close inspection of the model, the level of detail realized throughout is second to none.

The cab features dual opening doors, joystick controls, foot pedals, and precise instrumentation.  Functional track tensioners along with individually linked, free-rolling track pads make up the undercarriage, while the Cat C4.4 ACERT™ engine, complete with multiple maintenance points, is visible through the opening engine access door.  The fully articulated blade and 3-shank ripper match the motions of the 1:1 machine and provide multiple display positions for the model.  Paint and markings have been approved by Caterpillar for accuracy.

While we are still too early to determine when these will be complete, we will keep you up to date with more information and photos of the model here as we have it.  Remember, priority for this and future models in the Contractor’s Collection Series will be given to previous customers, so be sure to place your request now.  Don’t miss out on your opportunity to collect the entire series from Classic Construction Models in precision 1:24 scale die-cast!
