Be sure to pick up the March/April 2017 issue of Plant & Machinery Model World, the UK-based publication focusing specifically on construction, plant, and machinery models .  With reviews of our 1:48 scale die-cast 650B Series Wheel-Tractor Scrapers on pages 18-20, 1:48 scale D10 Push Dozer on pages 24-25, and our 1:87 scale brass 349F L on 44-45, as well as a quick look at of some of our upcoming models, we couldn’t be more thrilled to share this edition of PMMW with you.

Earning 5 stars each, the 651B and 657B Wheel-Tractor Scrapers impressed with the level of detail and functionality realized across these models.  Articulation is replicated accurately through the pivoting cushion hitch with a full complement of hydraulic lines, the ejector plate can be put through its full range of motion, operator cab modeled in extraordinary detail, and push/pull functionality on the 657B are some of the features that stood out on these models.

The ideal tractor for assisted loading of the 651B scraper, the D10 Push Dozer, also recieved a 5-star rating.  Some of the exceptional details noted by the editor include the integrated work lights, 3-shank ripper with authentic range of motion, and photo-etched heat shielding on the exhaust system.

The recently released Cat 349F L in all-brass construction also received high praises in the 1:87 Scale Corner from Dan Goins, correspondent for PMMW.  Among the features highlighted in the article is information on the machine, as well as a quick look at the benefits of modeling from brass.  Of note, flush fitting windows, an accurately portrayed undercarriage with individually linked tracks and functional tensioners, as well as sharp paint and markings set this model apart as one of the must-own models of the year.

“[The Cat 349F L] has all of the detail levels you have come to expect from CCM… Sure to be the pride of a collection.”

-Dan Goins
