It is with great excitement that we announce the newest model to our growing collection of die-cast earthmoving equipment, the Caterpillar 776 RD160.
Measuring 12.5” long x 5” wide x 4.5” tall, and reaching 9.5” tall with the bed in dump position, the 776 RD160 rear dump has been modeled in precise 1:48 scale. In true CCM fashion, the level of detail expressed in this model is second to none. The 776 tractor features a fully detailed operator’s cab with 2 opening doors as well as hand controls and complete instrumentation panel. The engine compartment and drive train are fully visible through the access doors on the top of the tractor.
The fully functioning kingpin-style yoke and 3-stage hydraulic cylinders on the dump body allow for a full range of display positions. Other notable features realized on this model include rock busters on the rear trailer tires, functional suspension, and turnstops to prevent over-rotation of the RD160 dump body. Detailing down to the non-slip traction pads, multiple maintenance access points, lights, mirrors, ladders, and realistic mud flaps provide the finishing touches of this model, and our new tire material results in a more realistic appearance which holds up better over time.
The Caterpillar 776 RD160 will be will be packaged in a collector quality box with an individually serial-numbered certificate of authenticity.
