We are pleased to announce the addition of the 1:48 scale die-cast Cat® 777G Off-Highway Truck and Cat Water Truck with MEGA MTT20 Attachment to our upcoming models.
The Machine:
“Built For It™” for the Cat 777G means full out, off-highway production work in mines, quarries and large earth moving projects. It tips the scales at 363,000 lbs. but with its 12 cylinder, Cat C32 ACERT™ diesel engine delivering 1,025 HP & 3,899 ft-lb torque @ 1,200 RPM, it can haul up to 118 tons at more than 40 mph.
Design features on this truck, such as carrying material low and centered for stability and load retention in the dual slope, V-bottom dump body, represent a new era for this size of off highway truck. In addition, the 777G features wet disc braking on all four corners, seven-speed planetary power-shift transmission and a sound-suppressed cab full of features to add to the comfort and productivity of the driver. A combination of 4 cameras and 4 radars allow visual or audible warning of people or objects too close for safe operation of the machine.
The Model:
As with all CCM precision scale die-cast model, the detail level on this model is exemplary. On the first layer this includes a working dump body with multi-stage lift cylinders, a fully-represented engine and drivetrain and pivoting steering complete with hydraulic cylinders. At the next level, and not so apparent, are a full array of fine-scale details such as wheel chocks, fire bottles, rock guards and the tread plate on all step surfaces. An accurately detailed operator’s cab, properly scaled tires and wheels, lights, mirrors, steps and grab rails all contribute to the realism – especially when this is all combined with Cat approved paint and markings. At a size of 8 ¾” X 5” X 4 3/8” the mud flaps and fuel and hydraulic tanks are easy to see but you’ll have to look close to find the tow hooks, tow pin and the wiper on the windshield.
The Machine:
When mining and construction sites have a need for a lot of water, a MEGA MTT20 with 20,000 gallons on board is more often than not the carrier of choice. The tank pins to the rear pivot mounts of a Cat 777G off-highway truck chassis and is equipped with vertical baffles and an internal shell to help ensure water movement is not an issue while underway. The integration of the two major components is so seamless the original warranty on the truck is honored by Caterpillar.
The heart of the Mega spray system is their water pump which is powered by the hydraulic hoist pump and valve system on the truck. The MTT features the Mega M4B water pump which is capable of delivering over 1000 gpm at more than 100 psi. Mega developed and patented their spray heads in 1976 and since then they have been subject to continuous improvements. These spray heads are fully adjustable for volume, width, and direction in two axis from the spray bar. A spray pattern measuring 90 feet wide is within the capability of these systems.
The Model:
Our die-cast model of this machine will be based on the finely rendered details of our Cat 777G haul truck. In keeping with the design of the actual machine, our replica of the Mega MTT20 water tank will pin to the truck chassis. Other details that will be replicated on the model include the Mega water pump feeding the rear spray bar with 4 horizontal spray heads, the 2 vertical spray head valves mounted on top of the tank and the water cannon fed by an additional hose from the foam agent system reservoir embedded in the tank. A fill port safety grate, ladder and safety rails are among the other realistic details found on the model.
All models will be individually serial-numbered and will include a serialized machine brochure to certify authenticity. Progress photos, dimensional details, pricing and delivery information will be updated as it becomes available.
Production quantities to-be-announced. Please don’t hesitate to contact us to request these models.
They look really good.I am sure, the released models, will be great!
As always, these new models will be beautiful, just like all the ones that have come before. Such great attention to detail have these CCC models in a class all by themselves.
Going to make sure I am on the list for 777G . Keep it up CCM!
777g water truck brake acc pressure low.cut in pressure at low rpm below spec.Getting only 10000kpa instead of 16000kpa.PUMP and Brake acc valve(manifold)changed but problem still there.Any ideas.
