Introduced in 1986 as an upgrade to the D10, the D11N is built to withstand severe working conditions while increasing productivity. Equipped with a turbocharged Cat® 3508 diesel engine producing 770 flywheel horsepower and a 20% torque rise, increasing blade capacity of the D11N to 42.2 yd³.
The elevated sprocket design removes the final drives from wear environments and reduces shock loading for an extended power train life. Bogie-mounted suspension floats over rocks and ground contours, providing more ground contact which results in less slippage and more traction.
The isolation mounted cab reduces the noise and vibration, and intuitive controls provide precise maneuverability. The fully adjustable, suspension seat is angled 15% to improve visibility while EMS integrated into the instrument panel monitors critical machine functions.
Work tools for the D11N include tailored dozer blades and rippers, which can be specified to match the working conditions for efficient high production.
