The Cat® 735B Articulating Dump Truck was introduced as a replacement for the 735 ADT with enhanced operator comfort in mind. The cab was ergonomically redesigned to feel more like driving a car, while automated traction control and enhanced shift control logic allow the operator greater control with less input. With a rated payload capacity of 36 tons, the 735B offers proven reliability and durability, high productivity, and low operating costs.
The C15 ACERT™ engine produces 437 net horsepower at the flywheel and propels the machine at a top speed of 31.8 MPH. A seven-speed forward two-speed reverse ECPC (Electronic Clutch Pressure Controlled) transmission features enhanced Shift Control Logic for speed continuity while ensuring constant shift times. The Cat “on-the-go” Regeneration System integrated on the 735B allows for the removal of soot from the Diesel Particulate Filter without any interaction from the operator.
A three-point oscillating front suspension, coupled with the Fully Automatic Traction Control helps to eliminate wheel slip with no input from the operator. Utilizing Inter-Axle-Differential and Cross-Axle-Differential locks, clutches are engaged on the go to optimize machine performance and control in all conditions. This configuration provides a smoother ride thereby improving operator comfort throughout the day as well as reducing tire and driveline abuse, eliminating lost efficiency caused by improper manual operation of the differential clutches.
