The Cat D5C Track-Type Tractor was introduced in 1993.It featured the 3045 turbocharged, six-cylinder engine producing 90 flywheel horsepower. It came standard with three speeds forward, three reverse powershift-torque converter planetary transmission and an attachment cab with air conditioning. In 1998, Cat added joystick hold control. It estimated that more than 8,100 Cat D5C Tractor have been produced.
