The Caterpillar D4G Track-Type Tractor was introduced in 2001. It has a 3064 engine producing 80 flywheel horsepower. It comes standard with sealed and lubricated tracks. It is available in two configurations: the standard model has a track gauge of 59 inches with 18-inch single-grouser shoes; the Low Ground Pressure configuration has a 66-inch track gauge with 25-inch single-grouser shoes.
