Caterpillar® built the 777 off-highway haul truck specifically for work in mines, construction and quarries. With the Cat D348 diesel engine delivering 870 horsepower, the 777 can haul 85 tons at a top speed of 37 mph. The dual-slope dump body with V-bottom provides a large loading target, low loading height, and excellent load retention. The 777 also features completely sealed oil-cooled disk brakes, seven-speed automatic transmission, and all steel ROPS (Rollover Protective Structure) sound-suppressed cab.
