Exceptional details on this model include a Rolls Royce Merlin 1650 engine complete with hydraulic and electric lines as well as a brass propeller, drive shaft and tow hook. With a solid resin hull, glazed windshield and an unmistakable black and white on green “Miss Bardahl” finish – complete with authentic Bardahl Oil Company markings – this scale model is a “spot on” match to the 1958 National High Point Champion and certain to be a welcomed addition to any racing memorabilia collection.

In 1958 Mr. Bardahl commissioned Ted Jones to design and build his newest unlimited class hydroplane race boat, the Miss Bardahl. The metallic green boat, embellished with black scallops and bright yellow sides, became loved by many and feared by some as the Green Dragon. The Dragon won its debut at Chelan’s Apple Cup with local hero Norm Evans driving. Miss Bardahl’s winning consistency earned her the National High Points Championship. The original”Green Dragon” set the stage for Ron Musson and the Bardahl Team to become one of the legendary hydroplane dynasties in the ensuing years.
