The Machine
Caterpillar built the 777 off-highway haul truck specifically for work in mines, construction and quarries. With the Cat D348 diesel engine delivering 870 horsepower, the 777 can haul 85 tons at a top speed of 37 mph. The dual-slope dump body with V-bottom provides a large loading target, low loading height, and excellent load retention. The 777 also features completely sealed oil-cooled disk brakes, seven-speed automatic transmission, and all steel ROPS (Rollover Protective Structure) sound-suppressed cab.
The Model
As a CCM precision scale die-cast model, all the usual details are in effect. This includes opening doors with a complete cab interior, working dump body with functional pistons, a fully-represented engine and drivetrain, and pivoting steering linkage and front wheels. Painted in authentic period Caterpillar yellow and featuring and accurate markings.
Overall length is approximately 8 inches, overall width is 4 1/4 inches, and stands 4 inches tall. Production will be of a strictly limited quantity to assure this model is truly collectible.
Comes with a serial numbered certificate of authenticity that includes actual vintage machine specifications.
